Cestovanie v čase s Dante Alighierim

... tak znel názov výstavy Melity Gwerkovej a Mariana Vidu, ktorá sa konala v apríli 2011 v talianskej Florencii. Predlohou k tejto originálnej výstave sa im stala Danteho Božská komédia, ako i fakt, že obrazy boli vystavované priamo v Danteho dome. Božskú komédiu nepoňali ilustratívne, zamerali sa na filozofiu diela. Každý obraz predstavuje vybraný verš, ktorý zároveň tvorí súčasť názvu obrazu. Sled obrazov nie je náhodný, sú usporiadané podľa veršov, a tak sa nimi nechajte previesť v čase do doby, kedy tento geniálny človek tvoril a zároveň s nimi vstúpte do pekla, očistca a raja.

Travelling in time with Dante Alighieri

... that was the title of the exhibition by the artists Melita Gwerkova and Marian Vida which took place in April 2011 in Florence, Italy. The inspiration for this original exhibition was Dante´s Divine Comedy and moreover the paintings were displayed directly in Dante´s house. The artists didn´t intend to create illustrations for the Divine Comedy, instead they focused on its philosophy. Each picture represents a selected verse which is at the same time a part of the picture´s title. The sequence is not random. The pictures are arranged according to the verses, thus allowing them to lead you through the time when this briliant man composed and in the meantime enter with the pictures into hell, purgatory and paradise.
